Rohrleitungen einer Raffinerie 013Chemic Engineer’s Instrumentation and Controls group can perform in many capacities when it comes to engineering and design.  Our dedicated team is experienced in helping specific client needs and developing the highest level of engineering and design. Instrumentation and controls are a vital part of any plant facility and Chemic has the ability to provide the following but are not limited to:


  • Provide a full range of instrumentation services associated with process controls consisting of single instrument installation to instrumentation for major grass root units and upgrade/modifications of existing facilities.
  • Provide instrument services and support to insure a successful project in all phases including: project definition, instrument sizing, procurement, installation/construction and start-up and commissioning. This includes generating instrument indexes and specifications utilizing SmartPlant software.
  • Provide instrument services from development of P&ID’s for new processes, field walk downs to verify and update instrumentation to CAD conversion of manual drawings.
  • Integration of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) for use on critical control systems to perform “specific control functions” to failsafe or maintain safe operation of a process when unacceptable or dangerous conditions occur.

Control Systems

  • Provide a full range of control systems focused on serving the unique needs of DCS and PLC projects requiring new control system technologies.
  • Control Systems Migration projects to convert aging control systems to new DCS/PLC technologies which include the implementation of Delta V software for DCS and PLC projects.
  • Assistance with System Life Planning to help clients determine their control system needs and to identify a solution that meets their business objectives and expectations.
  • Provide project management specifically tailored to the unique needs of control system upgrade projects.
  • Provide innovative engineering and installation planning to minimize production downtime required to implement control projects.
