Electrical Engineer

  • Perform electrical design work on projects, including safety and quality aspects of the job
  • Provides the project engineer / manager with information on the performance of engineers, designers, and drafters as related to the project.
  • Assists the project engineer with training the engineers, designers and drafters on the project.
  • Coordinates project requirements with other project members to facilitate project completion per the schedule; advises them of unusual design problems or considerations requiring special help
  • Provides technical assistance on other projects as requested in specialty areas. May also serve as a Client Manager.
  • Prepare detailed scope and estimate for I/E/C engineering, material and labor
  • Perform field work during scoping phase of the project.
  • Interact with client to prepare scope as well as project design
  • Design lighting, power and grounding for chemical plants, power generation plants, commercial buildings, warehouses, office buildings, etc.
  • Prepare sketches for designers and drafters for engineering packages for client review, bid, and construction
  • Follow and assist during the construction phase of project
  • Check packages during design phase and prior to construction issue.
  • Texas (or other reciprocal state) PE Registration by Exam REQUIRED

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Approximately 90% office work and 10% work in the client facilities and jobsites.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb (at least one flight stairs) and sit for extended periods of time.  Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.  Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
