Job Description Summary:
You must exhibit a professional attitude, innovative ideas, analytical problem solving and a willingness to collaborate while having the ability to work independently. In this role, you will be responsible for performing civil/structural design calculations, prepare calculation packages, details, coordinating with team of designers and drafters and reporting to the lead engineer. Your work may also include field work, conceptual studies, checking construction drawings, and preparing projects specs and material requisitions. You will have the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the most experienced engineers in the petrochemical, energy, and oil and gas markets. Work Environment & Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Approximately 70% office work and 30% work in the plants and field. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb (at least one flight stairs) and sit for extended periods of time. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
